On Monday, July 29th, the NIH released its FY2021 Professional Judgment Budget Proposal for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias Research. This document — often referred to as the Alzheimer’s disease “bypass budget” (ADBB) because it is presented without modification through the traditional Federal budget process — estimates the funds needed to fully pursue scientific opportunities leading to a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
